Before joining our team at Gear Wash, Cory served 22 years in the Air Force and retired as a Fire Emergency Services Assistant Chief at Whiteman AFB, Montana. After his retirement (or "transition" as he likes to call it), he worked for MES and Feld Fire. At Gear Wash, Cory does everything from sweeping floors and taking the trash out, to conducting third-party lab verifications and on-site safety audits. Whatever needs done to improve the quality of work environment for our associates and provide the best product back to our end users are his top priorities.
The best part of my job is that I still get to "Serve those that Serve" from the ground level, all across the country. Helping our service providers accomplish their goals of serving our frontline firefighters is very fulfilling and I appreciate the opportunity to help wherever I can.
I recently went to Cancun, Mexico for vacation. It's a beautiful place.
Outlander and Braveheart.
I was successful in Challenge Coin checking an Astronaut, two Pilots and their Security Lead that were in Zaragoza, Spain for a Shuttle Launch from the Kennedy Space Center. The Emergency Rescue forces deploy to the Emergency Landing Sites across the Atlantic just incase the launch doesn't go to plan. For those that know, there were 21 of us...that win turned into an all night pub crawl through an amazing city with some amazing humans.
The best advice I ever received was as a brand new Captain. My Assistant Chief told me "Your job is to not become a victim." He meant it as a perspective on the fire ground to keep my team and I safe, but I think it's great advice for life. Push the limits in all things but stay safe!
The worst advice I ever received..."Go for it, I'll hold your beer!!!" Never ends well.
I'm fortunate enough to go out on my back porch and overlook Grand Lake of the Cherokees. The view never gets old and I get to share it with my best friend and better half, Erikka and our three dogs, Jax, Hiti and Jema.
I'd like to witness the "spark of life." Whatever place and whatever time that was...it'd be cool to see.
4th of July on the Lake!
