Get to Know Brian! 

For the past 22 years, Brian has been in the fire service working with Independent Service Providers (ISPs), PPE manufacturers, organizations, and end users centered around NFPA 1851. His varied experience began with an ISP in 1995 providing cleaning & care services, working for a PPE manufacturer assisting departments and ISPs implement computerized NFPA 1851 complaint recordkeeping, providing NFPA 1851 end user classes, performing in the field PPE assessments, and has come full circle back to where it all started. 

Brian works closely with organizations and end users to help implement NFPA 1851 complaint programs with the goal of enhancing firefighter safety! 

What is the coolest thing about your job and why? 
Easy - I'm privileged to be in a position to help serve and support everyday heroes!

What is your #1 recommended TV show or movie? 
Ozark

What's the best advice you've ever received? What about the worst advice? 

1. Happy wife... Happy life :)
2. Accepting "no" for an answer.

How do you relax in the evenings or on the weekends? 
Spring & Summer - at home on the deck & by the pool with family & friends. 
Fall & Winter - Often spent traveling between hockey rinks with family in support of my son who plays ice hockey.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done? 
Booked a family vacation with ZERO notice to my wife & kids. Booked the trip in the morning, surprised the kids - taking them out of school, and was on a plane by early afternoon.

What's your favorite family tradition? 
Meals together.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? 
Crab cakes. 🦀

What's the last book you read? 

The Grim Reaper by Stu Grimson 

What's your go-to happy hour drink? 

John Daly - Lemonade, Iced Tea, & Vodka. 

If you could be any animal, what would it be and why? 
Rottweiler - my favorite breed. 

If you could live anywhere on this planet, where would you choose to live? 
I'm exactly where I want to be!

What could you give a 30-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation? 

NFPA 1851. 

What sport would you compete in if you were in the Olympics? 

Baseball! ⚾

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be? 

Ability to be a handyman.
