Gear Wash just finished up our time at the always-incredible FDIC conference in Indianapolis.

The conference was a great time to meet up with old friends and meet some new ones along the way.

A major theme of this year’s conference was preparedness. In their keynote speeches, Chief Scott Thompson of The Colony, Texas and Chief Jason Hoevelmann of Florissant Valley, Missouri both stressed the importance of being prepared for whatever comes your way.

Fighting fires isn’t just about the moment, it’s about the moments leading up to that crucial decision that could save lives.

Here at Gear Wash, we’re all about helping you be prepared. Whether it’s ensuring that your gear is clean and in working order, or providing with you with rental equipment, our services are designed to keep firefighters fighting fires.

Another major theme was combatting firefighter cancer. As more and more research shows how dangerous accumulated soot and other combustibles can be, we’re proud to be on the front lines of ensuring that gear is clean and safe.

We also partnered with our friends at 3M for a giveaway. One lucky winner went home with a Blackstone grill!

We weren't just limited to giveaways at the conference! All through April leading up to the conference, we gave away cleaning and inspection services for 5 sets of turnout gear during our FDIC Virtual Giveaway.

Our lucky winners were the Avon, Indiana Fire Department and the Savannah, Georgia Fire Department. Congratulations to all of our giveaway winners!
